Resumen
This monograph provides a reflection of the current state of ICT in an interval from 2010 to 2020: '' What is the current state of ICT as a methodological strategy in basic secondary education in the area of natural science? '' This work focused on basic secondary education, in the area of natural sciences in Colombia, its main objective was to examine the current state of ICT as a methodological teaching and learning strategy, in addition to reviewing the surveys of access to ICT in the educational community, identify the appropriate technological tools and analyze the pros and cons of ICT in the teaching and learning process. Understanding that Information and Communication Technologies are a set of applications, systems, tools, techniques and methodologies that allow communication, in an interconnected and interactive way. The methodology implemented was documentary and investigative, where quantitative and qualitative data were collected that allowed visualizing a series of circumstances in favor and against ICT in the educational, social, cultural and economic sector of Colombia.
