Resumen
The lack of cartographic information on the forest fire risk scenario represents a critical problem for the city of Bogotá, as evidenced at the beginning of 2024 with the emergencies reported in the eastern hills. This lack of characterization hinders the planning and effective response to emergencies by the Unidad Administrativa Especial Cuerpo Oficial de Bomberos de Bogotá (UAECOB), thus increasing the damage caused by fires. Among the main causes is the deficiency in the use of data by the entities in charge (SDA, IDIGER and IDEAM). These factors combined have resulted in a shortage of mapping and insufficient response to emergencies leading to an increase in environmental damage. In this way, cartographic information was developed on hazard (vegetation, climate, relief and history) and vulnerability (access, population, infrastructure, economy and forest urban interface area) to determine the city's wildfire risk scenario, which will support decision-making against these incidents.
