Levantamiento Topográfico de la Biblioteca y la Dirección General Administrativa del Senado

Abstract

The present thesis presents a complete description of the laser scannig technique on topographic survey carried out onat the library and the General Administrative Direction (old House of the Culture in Bogotá) of the Senate of the Republic of Colombia. Due to cultural and historical value of the buildings was necessary to apply detailed measurement techniques to protect the patrimonial value without affecting the areas or deteriorate them. The laser technique captures the full complexity and details of the building, providing specific information in order to avoid complications and limitations that traditional techniques can generate. The architectonic design of the present work is useful to take the best decisions on the refurbishment before doing the actual civil work.
