Resumen
The present work is the result of the pedagogical research carried out in the Technological Faculty of the Francisco José de Caldas District University. The presented classroom project focused on partially solving the problems related to reading and writing in the university presented by students who entered the first semester of engineering. For this, we rely on theoretical, methodological and didactic approaches of the pedagogy of projects; The postulates of cognitive psychology around writing as a cognitive and metacognitive process and the didactics of literature for human development and a possibility of access to culture. On the other hand, methodologically the project had a qualitative research approach, the design was the Research Participant Action, which is based on the theoretical guidelines of Project Pedagogy. As far as data collection instruments are supported by ethnography techniques, these are, field diary, documentation, survey, life stories. Finally, the results of the project show the relevance of designing and implementing pedagogical projects in the university, since it allows the transformation of academic teaching-learning practices, which in this case refer to the qualification of reading and writing in Higher Education , And also makes evident the need for transformations both in the teaching task and in the institutional policies around the discursive activities described here.
