Resumen
The purpose of this study is to analyze the hydraulic behavior of the Tunjuelito River in Soacha, Cundinamarca, and to evaluate the flood risks in the installation area of a 14” AC gas pipeline. For this purpose, the HEC-RAS software was used, considering a topo-bathymetric survey of the river crossing point and the modeling of flows associated with return times of 3.3, 5, 10, 10, 25 and 100 years, according to current regulations. The analysis made it possible to characterize the flow dynamics and determine the maximum flood level in the K0+090 sector, where the pipeline is planned to be installed by means of horizontal directional drilling. The accuracy of the topographic data collected and its impact on the validation of the hydraulic model was evaluated.
