Resumen
Organizational adaptability is a key factor for business survival, especially in contexts of constant change and high competition. This research aimed to design and validate the SAT model (Survival, Adaptability, and Human Talent), focused on characterizing the human talent variables that impact organizational adaptability and, consequently, the ability of companies to survive in the market. The model centered on five main variables: knowledge and experience, creativity, attitude toward change, ability to establish interpersonal relationships, and learning ability. The development of the model included an exhaustive review of academic literature and previous psychometric models, which allowed for the structuring of a measurement tool consisting of psychometric tests and questionnaires specifically designed for the study context. Surveys were applied to a sample of 50 individuals, and the results were analyzed using statistical techniques, identifying significant correlations between the variables and adaptability capacity. In addition, the model was exposed and validated by a panel of experts, who confirmed its relevance and reliability as an organizational diagnostic tool. The findings showed that one of the variables that could drastically change the results is Knowledge and Experience. Thus, the model suggests that if the evaluator chooses to use it, adaptability will be measured in terms of Creativity, Ability to establish interpersonal relationships, and, lastly, attitude toward change. If the evaluator does not consider Knowledge and Experience a fundamental element in the organizational structure, then adaptability will be determined by Attitude toward change, creativity, learning ability, and the ability to establish interpersonal relationships. The research concludes that the SAT model offers a robust methodology for assessing human talent adaptability, providing a solid foundation for designing strategies that strengthen companies' ability to face challenges in a changing environment. This study contributes to the field of organizational management and offers recommendations for future research focused on the relationship between adaptability and business performance.
