Resumen
The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on our daily lives and way of life, which became most evident in early childhood. The majority of boys and girls experienced significant changes in their interaction with the world, such as the interruption of schooling or the transformation of virtuality, the loss of routine and the decrease in social contact, which generated an impact on their emotions and in how these should be expressed. When returning to in-person attendance in an educational institution that makes students' sensitivity invisible and ignores it, it was observed that boys and girls experienced an increase in anxiety and stress during the pandemic, generating a lack of knowledge of themselves and their feelings. The pandemic additionally fostered an increase in social isolation, which has affected children's ability to socialize and establish relationships with others, thus generating a negative impact on emotional and social development. The purpose of this research project is to investigate how boys and girls ages 6 to 8, attending the San José Sur Oriental school, build socio-affective relationships after going through the aforementioned pandemic. To achieve the objective, an analysis of different authors and pedagogues that support the research process was carried out.
