Resumen
The purpose of the project was to design and build a therapeutic glove oriented to conservative treatment in the initial stage of wrist osteoarthritis, incorporating a tracking control system that would allow visualizing and storing the angles of wrist movements in real time by means of a graphic interface. For this purpose, flex sensors and the MPU6050 accelerometer and gyroscope module were used, integrated to a PSoC 5LP microcontroller, which processed the data and communicated with a graphical interface developed in Python. This interface, built with Tkinter, allowed visualizing the captured movements and storing them in a MySQL database in Amazon RDS. During the development and validation of the prototype, it was found that flex sensors are a viable alternative for general motion estimation. However, it was also evidenced that they present significant limitations in accuracy and stability. In this sense, their use was not recommended for applications requiring high accuracy. The developed system proved to be functional and promising, although it requires adjustments to optimize its accuracy, comfort and accessibility in future versions.
