Resumen
Guateque is a Colombian municipality (which is made up of a municipal seat and 20 rural areas), located in the southwest of the department of Boyacá, 125 kilometers sut of Tunja, and 112 km east of Bogotá. It limits with the municipalities of La Capilla, Tenza, Sutatenza, Somondoco and Guayatá. The municipality is located in the foothills of the eastern mountain range, having an undulating, broken and steep relief. Likewise, according to DANE for the year 2017, Guateque has 9,552 inhabitants, of which 7,116 live in urban areas and 2,427 in rural areas. Guateque is part of the 428 municipalities of Colombia that still do not have natural gas distribution networks, taking this into account, a method is proposed by which the inhabitants of these areas (biodigesters) benefit from a waste reuse mechanism. and through these, generate the gas that each of these homes uses daily. With the formulation of this project and the implementation of biodigesters as an alternative to the use of pipetted gas and wood stoves, the aim is to benefit the inhabitants (both adults, older adults and children) of the rural areas of the municipality of Guateque, Boyaca. The foregoing since this population is the one that presents vulnerability in the provision of the residential public gas service.
