Resumen
This Project seeks to determine the influence of local abrasives to which the machinery is exposed, for this it is necessary to find reference values of national type where SILICE 20/40 sand and foreign sand Ottawa 50/70 AFS will be used in abrasive wear tests under parameters of the ASTM G65 standard. In the first stage there will be a sample preparation, sieve granulometry determining the morphological characteristics of the two types of sands defining the uniformity coefficient, roundness coefficient, humidity percentage and shapes. In the second stage, the operation of the equipment will be validated and calibrated according to procedure B of the ATSM G65 standard. In addition, variables such as humidity, abrasive flow, engine speed, force exerted on the specimens will be determined, as well as the dimensions of the and the number of tests required for the study, abrasive wear tests will also be carried out with an AISI 1020 steel and an anti-wear steel. In the third stage, the analysis and comparison of abrasive wear, optical microscopy and stereoscopy traces will be made on the two types of specimens, by means of the use of the most appropriate statistical tool, which will allow to find the differences and the correlation between the types of tests, in addition to the reference values of abrasive wear for the SILICE MALLA 20/40 national sand, finally a correction factor will be formulated for the use of Sandblasting sand in abrasive wear tests.
