Resumen
Dynamic alignment of the prosthesis is a key process during the adaptation of a transtibial amputee to their new lifestyle. Therefore, the need for tools to support this process has led to the development of new computational models to study amputated gait. In this study, a predictive model of transtibial amputee gait was developed with the objective of assessing the implications on asymmetries and spatiotemporal parameters if adjustments to the alignment of the prosthetic foot change. This model considered prosthetic gait as an optimization problem of trajectories and solved it through direct collocation using MOCO optimization software. One of the most significant findings of this study was how extreme positions of the prosthetic foot can lead to substantial changes in asymmetries and spatiotemporal parameters.
