Resumen
The fall in the profitability of the agricultural sector and rural urban migration processes have led land fragmentation, for permanent succession, leading to the inclusion of new rural residents and setting up a diversity of actors and new ways of conceiving rurality. However, this has generated pressure on forest resources, which are essential in alleviating poverty and production of ecosystem services. A case study of descriptive exploratory character with a single unit of observation defined as Management Unit in the municipality of Sasaima, in an area of 57.76 ha farm consists of 28 systems was conducted. Four methodological elements for the construction of the conceptual framework, the biophysical and socioeconomic participatory territorial diagnosis, the definition of farm systems with the method of hierarchical conglomerate and designing sustainability strategies developed. As a result four types for which sustainability strategies were proposed from the forest resource and taken to a SIG defined.
