Resumen
This document gives an account of the investigative process carried out around the father figure and its incidence in the construction of social imaginaries about peace of ten boys and girls who are in the school space of the Liceo Mayor de Soacha where they are in fifth grade, for the advance in the field of problematized study through the approach to the experience of infantile life. The study was of a qualitative type with an interpretive approach and used the techniques of semi-structured interviews and discussion groups supported by drawing as a means of expressing ideas and emotions. In addition, the discourse was essential to reveal the imaginary social meanings of analysis and to understand the guiding question of the investigation of what is the incidence of the father figure in the construction of social imaginaries of peace of boys and girls in the school space?. For the development of the research, the sociological theory of Cornelius Castoriadis was taken up from where the social imaginaries are approached as the incessant creation of ideas, concepts, notions, that symbolically organize the actions of human beings and that determine with emphasis the social dynamics. In addition, the conceptual advances built from the research line of the Francisco José de Caldas University of history, representations and social imaginaries are located, being these keys in the understanding of the object of study and its particularities, which are detailed below.
