Resumen
The department of Meta is located in the eastern central region of Colombia, bounded on the north by the departments of Cundinamarca and Casanare, on the south by the departments of Caquetá and Guaviare, on the east by the department of Vichada and on the west by the Department of Huila and the city of Bogotá DC Economically, the department bases its main source of wealth on the exploitation of hydrocarbons, followed by extension livestock and agricultural activities, the latter having great importance for the country and with greater focus for the city of Bogotá D.C. Since this is recognized an agricultural holding approximately 48% of the demand of the capital. On the other hand, it should be noted that, due to its broad territory and its history, this department has been one of the hardest hit by the armed conflict and that after the peace agreements signed in 2016, several problems remained, which The Colombian state will have to assist with the help of the national axis of Colombia to avoid the increase of lands dominated by new groups that were created after the withdrawal of the FARC and others that came to the region with the idea of controlling the activities that this group left. In this way we must take into account the general hypothesis of how the armed conflict and all kinds of similar manifestations have a direct interference in the economic and social instability of the department, in addition to this it can be shown a relationship between livestock and dispossession of lands to residents of specific municipalities in the department, therefore this is not the only economic activity that sees a number of displacements of their land of origin, as the increase in pollution levels and career to reduce the use of fossil fuels has been launched by the United Nations Organization for Food and Agriculture (FAO) the use of environmentally friendly fuels with this generating an increase in the amount of land used for the implementation of fuels that come from plant materials which are friendly to the environment.
