Abstract

The measurement of the carbon footprint is a measure for the contribution of the emissions exercised by the entities every year. For this reason, the university proposed the realization of the report, which was carried out by means of the collection of the data of consumptions realized in the 2014 in some of the headquarters of the District University. For the preparation of the report, a series of activities were initially proposed, but in the course of the process they were modified due to the needs that were presented, all in order to comply with what was proposed. These activities are based on the inquiry and consultation in different national or international bibliography on the subject of the carbon footprint to know about the content of this, for this reason the whole report is based on the investigation and collection of information either to know the In the context of the report, to know which sites were necessary to include, analyze appropriate application methodologies or to propose the different solutions or strategies that should be included to achieve emission mitigation and generate the implementation of sustainable practices within the University. Having the information about what it is and how the report should be elaborated, the organization that would have the report for the University according to the themes found was analyzed, analyzing the most significant activities within the university and which are or Not relevant to the study so as not to fall into redundancy or add minor data to the report, so that the final result is the one indicated.
