Resumen
The present research proposes the development of an applied project aimed at evaluating the technical, economic, and regulatory feasibility of integrating electrical services into civil engineering projects carried out by the company Inversiones y Construcciones J&M. This initiative arises as a strategic response to the growing market demand for multidisciplinary solutions that combine civil infrastructure with sustainable and efficient electrical technologies. The main objective of the study is to diversify the company’s service portfolio through the inclusion of activities such as preventive and corrective maintenance of transformers, installation of residential and commercial photovoltaic systems, and automation of spaces through Internet of Things (IoT)-based technologies. To achieve this, the project proposes a rigorous analysis that integrates technical, financial, and regulatory criteria, in accordance with the Technical Regulation of Electrical Installations (RETIE), the Technical Regulation of Lighting and Public Lighting (RETILAP), and the Colombian Technical Standards (NTC).This study will generate synergies between the civil and electrical areas to optimize the use of available resources, strengthen business competitiveness, and open new sustainable business lines. Likewise, it will provide analytical tools that will enable the company to make informed decisions, minimize investment risks, and position itself in emerging market segments with high growth potential.
