Resumen
The present study was carried out in a simple of intermunicipal passenger transport drivers of Bogotá D.C., during the period of 2016 to 2017; Who have a stipulated preventive occupational health exam called physical fitness test, being made every three months only and exclusively by the collaborating IPS in this study. A sample of 365 drivers was obtained with an age range between 31 to 40 years (33.7%) and between 41 to 50 years (33.2%). It was found that there is a low adherence to the consultations since in a year they attended to a second medical evaluation in a 71.5%, decreasing for the third and fourth control with a 43% and an 18.1% respectively. It is of vital importance to emphasize that in the consultations they receive guidelines to maintain healthy living habits, however, as well as there is low adherence to consultations, there is also an increase cases for obesity grade I and II; taking into account that the prevalence for obesity grade I in the first evaluation was 26.6%, while in the final evaluation it was 36.4%; for this reason there has to be a timely and effective intervention that generates impact on the worker since it was observed that there is at least one additional risk associated due to personal or family history that increase the risk of suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
