Una revisión documental de la modelación matemática en el encuentro distrital de educación matemática —2014-2018—: conociendo el pasado para repensar el presente

In this research we present a documentary review that aims to recognize what academic productions, related to mathematical modeling in mathematics education, have been reported in the first five versions -2014-2018- of the District Mathematics Education Meeting (EDEM), event that takes place in Bogotá -Colombia-. To give an account of this, in a first section we propose, as a justification, the reasons that lead to the development of this work. With the idea of showing why we are interested in mathematical modeling -MM-, we put in evidence those documents addressed at first, which allowed us to go unveiling the need to initiate a theoretical review around the MM. From this, we managed to generate an initial idea, as to what has possibly been developing around the GM, both nationally and internationally. In a second part we develop a theoretical framework about what has been reported in terms of MM. After considering the needs that arose on the problem and making a theoretical approach, we went through a third part, to situate ourselves in a research paradigm and support the reasons for proceeding and acting in relation to the work methodology-grounded theory. We identify the useful tools of the methodology to give form and clarity to the purpose of the investigation. In the fourth section we present the process of tracking the academic productions, as well as the conformation of the documentary corpus, we present the way in which we proceeded in the selection, organization and classification of the same. In the fifth section we present the construction of the categories of analysis and report the findings of it. Finally, we present the reflections that we have left of this research and we try to show a clearer horizon, which shows what has been working and has been reported in the EDEM academic event. We leave the doors open for many more to explore this path of the MM.
