Resumen
This research focused on the analysis of the process of educational quality assurance in the School IED Antonio Villavicencio, District Educational Institution of Colombia, in the context of the accreditation processes required for public institutions in the country. It was carried out in several phases using a descriptive methodology of case studies with a qualitative descriptive approach, using semi-structured surveys and focus groups with teachers and managers of the institution. The information collected was analysed using the Atlas-assisted qualitative analysis programme. The objective was to analyze the process of educational quality assurance, focusing on academic monitoring and administrative and financial management of the school. In addition, an organizational self-assessment strategy was proposed to identify strengths and opportunities in administrative and financial management. It is hoped that this strategy will be implemented by the educational community to guide the processes of institutional improvement and strengthening to promote institutional autonomy, evaluate the financial situation and available resources; and to achieve the institutional objectives set annually.
