Resumen
The radio soap opera was an instrument of diversion and relaxation for families in Colombia, which through sounds and voices recreated stories that led the audience to imagine a series of events without any limit, this worked by generating new customs within Colombian culture such as the implementation of leisure hours in the family; use of words and topics of discussion that are still evident today in the soap opera, because after years of radio broadcasting the radio soap opera was updated to the preferences from audiences and went to the small screen. Therefore, this degree project seeks to demonstrate the cultural influence that the radio soap opera specifically in the 50s to the 80s and how it has generated behaviors in the Colombian contemporary culture.
