Resumen
The city of Bogotá has grown exponencionally in the last years, reason why the needs of ways of access, housing, food, among others, have increased. Therefore it is necessary to build roads such as the Longitudinal Avenue of the West (WLA), which has had some problems because of the environmental implications that it has. For these cases in which investment projects that seek at some point to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants, entail environmental problems, it is important to carry out interdisciplinary studies, which include cost - benefit analyzes, specific to the Environmental Economy, for the decision-making regarding the different problems associated with construction. Therefore, for this internship, it has developed a report with the guidance of the Comptroller's Office of Bogotá DC, about the environmental costs that would be generated by the road infrastructure project known as WLA in the section that is within the limits of the Regional Forest Reserve of North Bogota DC "Thomas Van der Hammen", taking into account the existing methodologies for environmental economic valuation.
