Resumen
This research project addresses the need to include elements of environmental education in higher education and especially in the training teachers of the Franciscan District of José de Caldas, specifically from the design of the themes of elective open to all careers "Simón Rodríguez Pedagogical Camp". The research is born because of the alarming environmental situation, for that reason, an education is required that is concerned with the integration and social participation in environmental problems, so that they are object of work in the classrooms (Mora, 2012). Therefore, a proposal of syllabus was proposed, with the aid of a digital educational material (virtual classroom). Thus, the main objective of the research study is to design the program of the Simón Rodríguez Pedagogical Camp including the environmental education and the pedagogical principles of Simón Rodríguez in order to promote pedagogical elements that relate society to nature, based on education outdoors and camping. This investigation was divided in two parts: In the first one was carried out an applied investigation since it generated a didactic strategy consistent in the planning of the course of camping, leaving like products The Syllabus and the virtual classroom of the elective. For the second part, we opted for the Research Action Collaboration -IAC- because the population studied as an active part of the research acted as veedor when analyzing the problem in which they themselves are immersed, through an analysis of the strategies, Didactics and learning gathered during the sessions of the elective, to encourage and encourage in students a knowledge of the care of the environment thanks to the approach provided by outdoor education and camping techniques. As the research progressed, the contents of the elective were improved through the analysis of session proceedings and the reflection was carried out applying the discussion groups. In this way, three cycles of IAC were applied. Curricular enrichment of the elective was achieved, since the new syllabus generated a didactic strategy that included the environmental education from the open air education and the pedagogical principles of Simón Rodríguez taking camping as a strategy. In addition, this micro curriculum was supported by the virtual classroom that includes audiovisual material and theoretical support of the didactic units. Participants developed positive environmental skills evidenced in the actions developed throughout the course, such as teamwork, approach to land in a sustainable / sustainable way and help to the community. The elective finally achieves interdisciplinary dialogue and the camp in addition to traveling gets to know different cultures and societies which allow the curious spirit that has the human being to explore and exalt their abilities. This implies that the unique structure of this elective is recognized and replicated and shared to improve higher education in this country.
