Resumen
The increasing in competitiveness, quality of both, products and services; and the effects of globalization have led organizations to improve the skills of their human capital. Those organizations that adapt to changes by improving their human resources obtain sustainable competitive advantages, mainly because this resource has become the most important. In order to find the right staff to reach the desired levels of the organization, a new sort of metrics have been devised serving as pivots for appropriate decisions making regarding the staff; which is called; performance evaluation. There are different methods to make such measurements; however, the objective of the work lies in the formulation of a performance evaluation model within an organization composed of 8 companies and about 1800 employees, based on the study of concepts; Talent management and "High Potential"; which will be discussed under a wide range of literature. In the present work, the reader will observe; the relationships between different variables that influence the measurements in employees, establish and categorize the personnel according to the performance obtained within the organization; as well as the mechanisms to enhance the human resource that generates profitability to it. In the work, the author concludes that there are certain evaluations to collaborators, taken from a subjective perspective; which are influenced by exogenous variables. On the other hand, it is observed that in several occasions the opinion of the evaluator prior to the exercise, related to the employee´s performance, does not coincide with the results observed after the application of the model, so it is apparent that the evaluators do not have a concrete knowledge regarding the work performed by the collaborator in the organization.
