Resumen
In the vicinity of Mochuelo Bajo (Ciudad Bolívar) there are 33 brick kilns operating, 32 of which are part of the Asociación Nacional de Fabricantes de Ladrillo y Materiales de Construcción (ANAFALCO), and constitute the Parque Minero Industrial El Mochuelo. Although this industry is the main source of employment for the inhabitants of Mochuelo Bajo, it also generates an environmental and socioeconomic impact on the territory and the community that inhabits it, and the local popular collectives express their rejection through different communicative practices. The problem lies in the fact that the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices carried out by ANAFALCO have a greater impact on the population of this village, which generates acceptance by the inhabitants of this industry, forgetting the environmental and socioeconomic damage it generates.
