Resumen
The following project is about the development of a prototype of an inductive loops system for special listening devices used by people with partial or total hearing loss, and this with the purpose of achieving a better sound reception for those listening devices in places with a lot of interference or environmental noise. For the development of the system and the fulfillment of the planned objectives, a prototype of an inductive loops system was designed; it has diverse audio ports, including the microphone, JACK entrance, Bluetooth, among others. The system has an equalizer to improve the sound of incoming signals, and all the process being controlled via a graphic interface using a touch display or an app for mobile devices. Said amplifier system is connected to an inductive loop, which audio signals run through the perimeter, creating a magnetic field. Said magnetic field will transmit the amplified audio signal. The special listening device users will notice an augment of the sound reception quality because of the influence of the magnetic field, always and when the listening device has the Telecoil function active. Besides, an audio receiver was designed, and it counts with a similar coil to the ones the special listening devices have, which receives the sound emitted by the inductive loop, and thus, made possible the making of functionality tests of the prototype.
