Aplicación de realidad virtual orientada a la población sorda para el uso de equipos del laboratorio de electrónica de la UDFT

Resumen
The project consisted in the development of an application which works as a tool for the understanding and proper execution of the practices carried out by the students of Technology in Electronic and Engineering in Control and Telecommunications on the laboratories of electronic basic at the District University Francisco José de Caldas, Technology Faculty, specifically, the population with hearing disability. The user, in this case, the student, through the camera of their mobile device (Tablet or smartphone) scan a QR code, which is adhered to the equipment (oscilloscope or a wave generator), using the application which will scan the image and then lead the student to a 3D interface which resemble either an oscilloscope or a wave generator depending of the QR code and, then can interact with it, creating an experience as real as possible. The application name is “Real electronic lab”; it is designed in JavaScript using the software Android Studio, Unity 2017.3.1f1, SketchUp 2017 and Vuforia. As said, the target group is the student community with hearing impairment, using a system of sign language, as well as closed caption. The application, however, can be used by any student, as the goal of this project is inclusion.
