Resumen
The aim of this paper is to contribute to the construction of the birds' conservation concept by students from three local schools (el Rocío, el Papayo y Puente Grande), branch of the Instituto Técnico Agropecuario Agatá en (Chipatá- Santander), where was tested a Didactic unit framed in the Scholar Investigation approach, which was made from visual and net samplings in near zones to the schools, specially in adjoining gorges, where still show some remains of Andean highland forest. Was made a test to recognize and analyze the students' previous ideas about conservation, their territory the local birds, but focusing in the Strigdae (owls), Trochilidae (hummingbirds), Cracidae (chachalacas) and Icteridae (toches) families, also representations, stadistic and pedagogical analysis. Then was made a categorization of their new and accomplish learning.
