Resumen
Guaviare department, is considered one of the gates to the Amazon, has such special characteristics that make it a privileged and unique area in the world. There is the Serranía de La Lindosa, with ecosystems formed by rocky outcrops belonging to the biological corridor of the Guayanese Shield, which begins in the Serranía de la Macarena, passing through the Guaviare to the PNN Chiribiquete. In addition to this natural diversity, it has a special area of archaeological protection with vestiges of early human occupation, materialized in murals of rock pictographs of up to one hundred square meters and dated thousands of years before the present. For decades the region preserved some of its natural and cultural wealth, given the inaccessibility of this territory due to the situation of the armed conflict, drug trafficking and associated illegal activities. However, new processes such as the Peace Agreements have brought accessibility to the territory, on the one hand, to tourists and new settlers; and on the other to the expansion of the agricultural frontier. For this reason, and coupled with the need to protect and conserve biodiversity and cultural heritage, and to contribute to the strengthening of Environmental Services, in this project a geographic viewer is developed that groups the main natural and cultural elements of the department around the Serranía de la Lindosa Protected Archaeological Area, grouping its characteristics, with photographs and three-dimensional models of emblematic sites in the region.
