Pacho Galán, “The king of the merecumbé” in the audible collection Antonio Cuéllar: Digitalization, catalog and transcription, is a work that pretends to conserve and spread the musical legacy of this Colombian artist the one who exerted like trumpet player, composer, arranger and director of tropical orchestra. Through his work, contributed in the construction of a new audible concept represented in the Colombian tropical music of the second half of the 20th century, who’s bequeathed remains until today. In his practice like musician, Pacho Galán employed tropical genders of the period and created other new like the Merecumbé, the Tuqui – Tuqui and the Chiqui - Chá, among others. The work contributes the digitalization of 273 archives of audio and image, of musical pieces related with the artist in study and the musical transcription to score complete of 4 of them. Also it includes a review of the musical path of Galán and a day book of the activities developed during the practicum.
