Resumen
The purpose of this project is to measure the effect of the use of rainwater collected in Soacha Compartir, on the compressive strength of simple concrete. For this purpose, are elaborated test cylinders with rainwater and test cylinders prepared with potable water taken from the Bogotá aqueduct, which is a standard water since its quality is verified and approved to be used in the manufacture of concrete. All the test cylinders are tested in the laboratory under the parameter of compressive strength, to generate a statistical comparative analysis of the results obtained with the cylinders made with rainwater and those obtained with the standard cylinders made with potable water. Initially are collected the materials required for the elaboration of the test cylinders, during this development is made the pertinent documentation, regarding the rainwater, the stone aggregates and the cement, which are the main materials used for the manufacture of concrete on site. The materials are tested in the laboratory to test their characteristics and verify compliance with the Colombian technical norms NTC, the test cylinders are made with these materials, 45 with rainwater and 18 with potable water, being the obtaining source of water the only variable between one and the other. All the cylinders are failed to compression to analyze and interpret the results applying the basic principles and concepts learned during the career and the research made for this project. Finally, all the learning provided by the research, observation and interpretation of the results is reflected in a document.
