Resumen
This degree thesis aims to recognize the current state of water resources and water uses of the Municipality of Cogua by documentary compilation. The Scientific research was developed using the theoretical method of analysis and synthesis in the period of a year, divided into four stages: recognition of institutions and information sources, classification of information, synthesizing and consolidation of data, and finally the document approach stage. Among the results of the collection is the determination of the consumption modules by economic sector, recognition of the potential uses of water in the municipality and the formulation of essential indexes to establish the current state of water resources of Cogua. The work gives opening to the recognition of the current state of water resources and water uses by describing physical, biological, socioeconomic, environmental, and hydrological characteristics of Cogua besides the current uses of water in the municipality. In accordance with the main objective of this work it is developed a summary table of the documentary collection used for the development of the research; where there are shown bibliographic specifications, methodology of the study, summary of the content and discussion of the results obtained by each query. Finally, the paper concludes that the Municipality of Cogua has a great water wealth represented in six sub-basins, 37 streams and the presence of 16% of Neusa Reservoir, referring to its surface water sources; providing a high bid of water, in relation to the demand for water which is low for a small territory such as the municipality of study, water resource has low risk of scarcity. In addition, it was determined that the overall water quality of many water sources is good, besides having low levels of contamination in terms of receiving sources of discharges. Thus, among the most significant findings and recommendations was identified the opportunity for the Municipality of Cogua to implement its own system and aqueduct and sewer service, besides the exploitation of its tourism potential thanks to its natural wealth and water attractiveness.
