Resumen
This document shows a series of ideas about the mathematization of the Art of Strings, within the framework of the degree work of the subject under the modality of a monograph. The scope or mathematical potential of String Art will be studied, seeking to observe how they can be used to represent mathematical objects, exploring the characteristics they have at the time of their construction, to identify or relate mathematical concepts. In the development, visions of String Art will be considered and how they facilitate the visualization and representation of mathematical concepts, with special emphasis on the technique of making strings, the recognition of mathematical concepts through observation, and the systematization or mathematization. of processes. that allow you to represent mathematics. For this, the main reference that is available and on which the development of this monograph is structured, is the third chapter of the doctoral thesis: Situated mathematical interpretation of a craft practice, by Miquel Alberti, developed in 2007. This thesis doctoral performs an identification of mathematical concepts on a craft-type object. Likewise, various works, theses, papers and magazine articles in which String Art intervenes are considered, both in educational contexts and in contexts of scientific dissemination. This is due to the fact that String Art is an already known object, on which an attempt has always been made to relate concepts of mathematics and the didactics of mathematics. The different figures in which String Art is shown, built by computer or by other techniques, are images of my own elaboration, manufactured exclusively for the development of this work. In the case of those built by computer with software, you will find the links to access, interact and download the String Art.
