Resumen
The design and construction of a measuring instrument for the AMATROL brand temperature control system is shown. The device is composed of an orifice plate, which produces a pressure difference of water flowing through the pipe. The pressure generated is converted into an electrical signal proportional to the flow, by means of a differential pressure sensor. With a PSoC microcontroller, the signal was processed, a linear adjustment equation to determine the flow rate was used. A 4-20 mA current transmitter was incorporated, which is the most widely used way to transmit signals in industrial instrumentation today; depending on the application or the use that the user is giving the device, you can choose by a selector if you want the output voltage or current, estimated values of differential pressure and flow are displayed by an LCD. During the development of this work, a graphical user interface was designed using CassyLab software using the Proffi-Cassy data acquisition device to test the operation of the current loop and its operation for flow measurement.
