This monograph describes the behavior of geomagnetic components and meteorological variables in Fúquene, based on the theoretical foundations of the wavelet transform. The transform allows the signal to be decomposed in different frequency bands and to analyze micro- and macro-scale phenomena. Variations to these periodicities are analyzed in this project, for which interstational, seasonal and interannual analysis intervals are established, where geomagnetic and meteorological variations such as magnetic storms and ENSO cycle phenomena are studied. It is possible to characterize the signals, with the aim of establishing from the Wavelet coefficients an indicator for the definition of normal and anomalous behaviors in each one of the events; likewise, the relation of the geomagnetic field to the climate is established and in addition a methodology for the quality control of the geomagnetic variables is proposed.
