Resumen
Over the past decades, lagoons, lakes and swamp systems in Colombia have been essential in playing a crucial role in providing ecosystem services, such as the supply of quality drinking water to local populations. The relevance of these lentic water bodies motivates the completion of this internship, whose central purpose is to evaluate the quality of the water in said ecosystems that are contemplated in an already existing POMCA. This effort is part of the bill proposed by Senator Isabel Cristina Zuleta, which seeks the restoration of water ecosystems in Colombia. During the internship, a technical analysis was obtained that determines compliance with the physicochemical and microbiological parameters established in the Hydrographic Basin Planning and Management Plans (POMCA) of their respective hydrographic basins for the bodies of water under study. In addition, Environmental Quality Indices such as the ICA and the EIT were calculated, in order to graphically represent them on a map on a national scale and analyze the current average state of these waters, thus promoting sustainable and equitable management of resources. water in Colombia.
