Resumen
Like Universal History, music has been transforming and evolving over the years. These changes have brought with them innovations and a deeper knowledge of the instruments. The viola, an inconspicuous instrument in the string family and even undervalued appears on the musical map gradually becoming a great protagonist thanks to its dark and great depth sound. The concerto in D major for viola and orchestra by Carl Stamitz is the opportunity where this instrument is able to speak and find an important role within the musical scene connecting with its own sounds that allow them to shine naturally. Based on this, through this writing it is intended to be made known and describe the technical and historical elements of this musical piece bringing musicians in general (especially violists) to a deeply knowledge of the study and interpretation of the musical piece throughout a formal and harmonic analysis of the three sections of the concerto. As a final product, it is proposed to make a sample involving the interpretive decisions that are reflected in this document.
