Resumen
To implement, plan, and monitor conservation and sustainable use strategies, the optimization and management of biodiversity data are essential. This is aimed at understanding the elements contributing to information loss and identifying patterns and changes over time and space (SiB Colombia).
In fulfilling the objective and for data publication, SiB Colombia has two models: one based on open access and another that adheres to the obligations established in Decrees 1376 and 3016 of 2013, now consolidated in Decree 1076 of 2015. This is designed to facilitate reporting of data related to permits for non-commercial scientific research collection of wild specimens and for environmental study purposes.
Taking the above into account, the internship will strengthen knowledge by utilizing the regulatory framework associated with Decrees 1376 and 3016 of 2013, consolidated in Decree 1076 of 2015, as well as the Darwin Core (DwC) standards. This will be for validation, cleaning, and migration of biological biodiversity datasets to the current IPT Report tool. Ultimately, a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) will be developed to reduce data loading times into the IPT reporting tool using the UiPath program for Windows, ensuring information cleaning and validation.
