Modelos del campo geomagnético en Colombia del año 1968 al año 1993

Abstract

This project aims to determine the variable of total intensity of the geomagnetic field of the Republic of Colombia from data obtained from the old geomagnetic network of the Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi, which operated from 1968 to 1993 and was distributed in the 32 departments. These values will be compared with those generated by the virtual tool for the calculation of the geomagnetic components of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, since it generates values of the components of the geomagnetic field at a global level from the information it has collected by different means. In order to establish the comparison between both sources of information, cartographic products, statistical studies will be elaborated and the values of the total intensity of the field will be projected in time.
