Resumen
This project, stemming from the "Viva la Escuela" program, proposes a dialogue-based pedagogy to foster recognition and appreciation of local biodiversity among students at a rural school in Magdalena, Colombia. Recognizing the impact of educational disparities, socio-environmental challenges, the pandemic, and social conflict on these communities, the initiative seeks to strengthen cultural and environmental identity through participatory activities that connect students with their local context and ancestral knowledge. The methodology prioritizes dialogical learning, promoting egalitarian interactions that value diversity and intercultural respect, and leverages both educational materials and human resources (teachers, students, and community members). Ultimately, the project aims to cultivate a sense of belonging and environmental stewardship by constructing knowledge through experience and intercultural dialogue.
