Análisis del entorno tecnológico para el estudio del estado actual y balance de los archivos en Colombia

Abstract

This study investigates the technological landscape of archival institutions in Colombia, with a focus on the interplay between emerging technologies and archival management practices, as well as their implications for institutional decision-making processes. Through a comprehensive analysis, the study proposes enhancements to the Document Management and Archives Model (MGDA) by incorporating technology-driven elements and contemporary archival methodologies. Drawing on key policy frameworks, such as the Colombian Government’s Digital Transformation Framework (MinTIC), the research identifies critical technological components that could shape the future trajectory of archival development in the country. The methodological approach employs qualitative content analysis complemented by semi-structured interviews with archival experts, enabling a systematic examination of the sector’s current composition, operational environment, and prospective trends. Based on the empirical findings, this study presents strategic recommendations to optimize archival practices through the systematic integration of advanced technologies.
