Resumen
This study takes up the notion of human development and child development that underpins the Waldorf pedagogical model, followed at the Monte Cervino Country School, located in Chía, Cundinamarca. The way in which the guiding activities of child development are worked on from this model: Play, art, literature and exploration of the environment during the first seven years (0 to 7 years) and how the skills of each child are recognized and given priority. child as individuals, accompanying their particular process and postponing the teaching of academic content until after the age of 7. Thus, it contributes to the contextualization and positioning of the Waldorf pedagogical model in the academic field of education and to the dissemination of its structure and contributions as an alternative pedagogy to traditional pedagogy in Colombia. The study is developed within the framework of a qualitative methodology through participant observation in the classroom and semi-structured interviews with directors, teachers and families belonging to the School and highlights the achievements of some children in terms of child development.
