Resumen
The generation of energy from residual biomass is a complex process within the field of electricity generation in the country, particularly in non-interconnected areas (ZNI). As further research progress in this field, it reveals very favorable future prospects. Therefore, the aim is to condense the essential steps required to facilitate the design of Distributed Generation Centers in ZNI, taking into account both qualitative and quantitative variables. This research approach seeks to develop algorithms that will simplify the design of distributed generation centers (CGD) utilizing residual biomass, making it more comprehensible and accessible in the future. This dissertation focuses on the development of an algorithm intended to support the design of energy generation plants using residual biomass in ZNI of Colombia. The necessary processes are outlined for system's size, leveraging existing databases of residual biomass in Colombia, evaluating economic and technical energy potentials, and identifying the most advisable technologies and technological capabilities.
