Seguimiento a la política pública en materia de los residuos sólidos del país

Abstract

This report presents the activities and results of the internship "Monitoring the Public Policy on Solid Waste in the Country" carried out from November 2022 to June 2023 at the Observatorio Colombiano para la Gestión de los Residuos Sólidos (Colombian Observatory for Solid Waste Management). The internship focused on the creation of databases and a booklet on solid waste management in the country, using information obtained from various reliable sources such as government reports, academic studies, official statistics, and technical documents. It addressed elements such as solid waste reduction, utilization, valorization, treatment, transformation, final disposal, and the formalization of recycling associations. The objective was to disseminate and raise awareness about the issues related to solid waste in Colombia, based on the findings, results, and products obtained during the internship.
