Resumen
According to the publication of the newspaper La República (República, 2022), Colombia is the fourth country with the highest level of technological maturity in Latin America. An important fact is that the leadership of digitalization by ICT areas is more than 37%. In Colombian organizations, within this maturity, today it is evident that when integrating IT governance with the entire company, incidents occur in productive environments, when making changes at the software, infrastructure, and security level, due to not applying a change control process. correctly, this project presents the proposal for a model based on good practices to improve change control in companies with technological maturity with a level of integration according to the Information Evolution Model (IEM), carrying out an analysis initial based on the execution of PMBOK projects (2018), where it defines that every project must have initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and finally closure. A comparison is made with the good practices that define the level of change control in information technology (IT), where the main objective of change management is, therefore, to plan, analyze and evaluate the changes. to be carried out, ensuring effective and efficient processes, offering adequate continuity and quality of service, just as the good practices of the PMBOK define a series of activities (having an Entry, Planning, Implementation, Verification, and Improvement) that must be taken into account for a change control process in the area of information technology (IT). Based on the ITIL (2011) and PMBOOK (2018) guide, a Change Control improvement model is proposed where the items that must be considered in a company with technological maturity level 3 are defined to correctly apply a Change Control process.
