Resumen
Wastewater discharges made to bodies of water without previous or inadequate treatment directly affect its quality, limiting the availability of this resource. Water reserves such as reservoirs generate hydroelectric energy and drinking water, these must be studied to understand the dynamics of their biological, chemical, and external agents fundamental to maintain their quality. The objective of this research work is to carry out the analysis of two discharges of domestic and industrial wastewater projected in a sector of the Miraflores reservoir of the Carolina del Príncipe - Antioquia Municipality, from a digital terrain model (MDT), generated using the acquisition of hydro-topographic information of the area of influence. This project was developed based on information provided by the company AMBIUS S.A.S. and CIGMAP S.A.S., quantitative data were taken in 2018, which allowed the proposed objectives to be satisfactorily carried out. Among the results obtained in this research, the spatial location of the water body was included following the official requirements for Colombia, the digital terrain model of the area of influence determined from a photogrammetric and bathymetric survey, and the morphometric characterization and morphological analysis. Subsequently, the mixing zone was determined, through the simulation of scenarios in a hydrological model, data that were verified with the water quality criteria defined in Decree 631 of march 17, 2015, where in none of the cases the concentrations obtained they exceeded the maximum permissible limit values for specific discharges to surface water bodies.
