Thinking about social imaginaries becomes a study that is innovative, through them different representations, feelings and desires are identified that within a society are woven and appropriated, in this case referring to childhood, boy and girl, recognizing the importance of rethinking and discussing the conception and roles that they have within a community. In this sense, the work is titled "Imaginaries about Children, Boys and Girls in the Muisca Indigenous Community of the Cota municipality" and was directed by Dr. Carlos Arturo Reina. The objective was to investigate the imaginary of childhood, boy and girl that the Muisca indigenous community of the municipality of Cota in Cundinamarca has, in the perspective of identifying the sociocultural characteristics that give it its meaning, that is, to show as from the sociocultural practices and the stories can identify the thoughts and feelings that about childhood, which are held in the indigenous Muisca culture. The approach implemented was qualitative research and ethnography is used as a research method since it is investigated by natural situations where the use and collection of real materials, personal experiences and life histories are taken into account, taking as a reference theoretical framework the theory of social imaginaries proposed by Cornelius Castoriadis, author who has been approached from different researches and is the main source of consultation in the Master's Degree in Childhood and Culture of the District University Francisco José de Caldas, Now, in terms of results, the research group obtained from the analysis of the instruments to identify both instituted and institutive imaginaries that this specific community has in relation to children, thus giving an answer to the research question posed, what are the imaginaries about childhood, boy and girl that exist and n the Muisca indigenous community of the Municipality of Cota, Cundinamarca?
