Resumen
Currently, one of the problems that afflicts humanity to a greater extent is the growing environmental pollution, which is evidently growing at an accelerated rate. One of the main sources of this problem is vehicle emissions. Being a problem that requires immediate attention, different strategies and control techniques have been generated by governments worldwide, but it is clear that there is a lack of total management of the situation. Nowadays, people are gradually becoming more aware of their responsibility in caring for the environment, and for this reason, there are more and more concerns about how to mitigate the damage suffered. One of the cases of reflection, is in the interest that their vehicles are within the regulatory parameters of emissions, this in order not to become mobile agents of pollution and consequently to breach the regulations established in each territory (unconsciously in many cases), take appropriate action and thus avoid the penalties that such failure would entail. The purpose of this work focuses on the manufacture of a prototype of a sensing system to measure gas emissions directly from the exhaust pipe of a vehicle when it is running, and then store this information to which the driver will have access, thus, obtain a real-time report on the emissions of the vehicle and consequently apply both corrective and preventive strategies in terms of mechanical condition. Simultaneously, the corresponding market study was carried out, identifying the technological, economic and human resources necessary to start up the manufacture of the system in question. Likewise, the feasibility of the project was determined on the basis of the technical field and the field of profitability. As a result, a functional prototype was obtained which fully complied with the functions proposed, with positive aspects of viability for future projections of mass production.
