Consuelo de todos, relatos de familia desde las representaciones de ser hombre y ser mujer en mi núcleo familiar

Abstract

This work is a journey through the family experience lived with men and women from my close family system. It is the result of bringing together processes of research and creation in the field of artistic studies to explore gender relations in each one of my family members. Through the life story I enquire into the meaning that, for my parents, sisters, brother and for myself, has being a man and being a woman, getting into important places and practices of everyday family life such as home, cooking, spirituality.

In itself, the story is a fundamental tool to approach the paths of family memory, to expose the ways of living the gender, and highlight the way of interpreting motherhood and fatherhood which also correspond to the feminine and the masculine.

The stories also explain how I approached my questions theoretically, biographically and illustratively, to answer the question that generated this research project: ¿How have gender relations developed in my nearby family system?
