Resumen
The research work proposes, by means of a comparison of chemical and morphological components of seeds of native species and invasive species of the cundiboyacenses wetlands, the identification of the impacts of biological invasion on the wetland’s ecosystem functions, with respect to diversity and trophic relationships. The morphological characterization allowed to observe the homogenization of structural diversity, and the decrease of seeds for the non-specialized granivores. The preliminary phytochemical analysis showed the loss of potential of medicinal uses by secondary metabolites such as quinones and flavonoids; and the presence of condensed tannins, which affect the amount of nutrients available for the absorption of granivores fauna.
