Resumen
The modern paradox of communication shows that, although more media exist, less human communication happens through them. This bursts the fundamental premise of being with the other and generates in individuals a form of isolation, in which the language loses the dialectical function, provoking a distancing from itself and the social context. This paradox is key in the complex scenario of the media characterized by a strong tendency to concentrate and privatize the mass media, which puts at risk the exercise of communication as a right. This global trend has motivated various organizational processes and social movements in Latin America since the mid-1960s, due to a pedagogical proposal that assumes identity from the ancestral narratives of “Buen Vivir” (Good Living) and from a critical reading of the current global geopolitics. In this regard, this work responds to this need by creating spaces for training, production and circulation of informative content typical of the experiences of organization of collectives and grassroots processes. Through a systematization exercise, a local project known as “Centro de Comunicación” (Communication Center) located in the sector known as “El Codito”, in the northeast of Bogotá is placed in the light of the regional project on popular and community communication in Latin America.
